Not all spaces function in the same way from a technical point of view. And that is precisely where one of the major challenges of audiovisual production at premium events lies.
The Xavier Corberó Space is not a conventional venue. Its sculptural architecture, characterised by large monumental arches, open spaces and a strong visual identity, makes any technical intervention an exercise in precision.
When a space has such a strong identity, technology cannot impose itself, it must blend in.
The experience designed for Biotherm demanded precisely that balance. The proposal had to create an immersive atmosphere capable of reinforcing the launch of five products associated with specific colour identities, without altering the architectural essence of the venue.
Furthermore, there was an additional operational constraint. All technical installations had to be executed using floor-based solutions, avoiding specific rigging requirements and invasive interventions within the space.
Visual cleanliness also became a priority.
Concealed cabling
Integrated equipment
Discreet operation
And a technical production capable of disappearing visually to leave the spotlight entirely on the experience.
This approach is particularly important in experiences linked to the beauty, luxury and influencer marketing sectors, where every photograph, every piece of content generated, and every visual impression has a direct impact on the brand image.
Because when we work with premium experiences, the technical aspects cannot compete with the space. It has to enhance it.
There is a common challenge in many corporate events and premium activations. Agencies and brand managers need flawless technical execution, but they don’t want to deal with operational complexity.
This is particularly true when dealing with clients whose focus is on creativity, experience or visual storytelling. Biotherm was looking for precisely that: a sensory experience where technology would complement the concept without causing friction.
The solution involved addressing multiple technical requirements from the production stage:
Technical production ceased to be a concern. Instead, it has become a tool at the service of the experience. That is precisely what distinguishes a conventional technical installation from a true technical AV production designed for premium experiences.
One of the most distinctive aspects of the project was the ability of the lighting to reinterpret the architecture during the experience.
Each Biotherm product had a specific colour identity. And that made the lighting design a fundamental narrative element. The bluish tones reinforced attributes associated with Biotherm’s visual universe: purity, freshness, innovation and well-being.
The magenta tones added a more emotional and experiential dimension, completely transforming the architectural perception of the space.
The succession of arches in the Xavier Corberó Space acted as a vast three-dimensional canvas upon which to build visual layers capable of evolving throughout the experience. One and the same space. Two completely different atmospheres. A single visual narrative. The result created an immersive sensation where architecture, lighting and brand experience spoke exactly the same language. And this is precisely where one of the great opportunities offered by architectural lighting applied to premium events comes into play. It’s not just about lighting. It’s about shaping perception.
Behind a seamless experience for the attendee there is always rigorous technical planning. For this project, a configuration was deployed that was specifically designed to preserve the visual clarity of the space and ensure maximum aesthetic coherence.
Every technical decision was guided by the same philosophy: reducing visual complexity, enhanceing the experience, and maintaining operational excellence.
